Vanessa Ogenyi is the founder of Nessa Care foundation with the motto (Support and Value for Human Welfare): is a non-government and non-profit charity organization which aims to improve and promote the quality of living and welfare of the less privileged and vulnerable in the society. Starting from Nigeria and spreading out to other parts of Africa.

Having lost both parents at a tender age (7 years), she is drawn to children especially orphans who share in her childhood trauma. She is devoted to the welfare, opportunities and development of people in the society via various programmes, funding and initiatives, one of which is the International Big Brains Spelling Bee Competition Africa which is a special spelling bee competition that includes orphans and blind children. She believes that certain special children may be isolated from activities of the real world which shouldn’t be so as they should be allowed to integrate with other children.

Her organisation is driven by compassion and charity with six (6) point objectives:

1. NCF aims to promote humanitarianism while engaging in and driving activities and programmes that provide care, opportunities and development for people.
2. To provide financial assistance towards the basic needs of children food, shelter, education, and health care assistance.
3. To provide welfare support to various orphanage homes, Internally displaced persons camps and rural areas.
4. Sensitization and awareness programs on mental health, loneliness and social isolation including the needed support for its victims.
5. Support welfare of women and very old people in the society.
6. NCF aims to raise a kind of people in the society who are self-reliant, confident and financially independent.
